It’s so wonderful to start to feel the warmth of the sun again!  We have some innovative events coming up over Spring to get us all feeling healthy, looking fantastic and meeting new inspiring business women.

 

Membership

Our membership is growing!  We have doubled the number of financial members since March.  So many more women in the Hunter are enjoying the benefits of being part of the network.

August Dinner – The Art of Networking, 12 August

We had a full house at our networking event this month – we even had to knock people back on the last day. Our table hosts shared their tips and there was a huge buzz in the room as 80 women did the ‘speed networking’ activity.

1.             Be Creative - Look for new networking opportunities.

2.             Be Bold - Step out of your comfort zone.

3.             Be Approachable - Smile and acknowledge everyone you see.

September – Health and Wellbeing Expo, 9 September

This event is all about you. Want to live a longer, happier, healthier life? Not sure how to achieve this? Then come along and speak to the experts! Make the time, to find out more ways to keep healthy at our Expo next month.  You will be able to speak to a naturopath, an acupuncturist, energy healer and NPL practitioner. You can find a personal coach, personal trainer, taste healthy and easy to prepare food, be pampered and so much more!

October - Women in Fashion

Have the chance to meet some inspiring Hunter Women making their way in the world of Fashion. Come to Noahs after work on Wednesday 14 October from 5.30pm for a 6:00pm start to take the opportunity to mingle amongst like-minded professionals. Minute on Your Business!

Don’t forget that as a member you have the opportunity to promote your business via our ‘Minute on Your Business’ segment at our monthly events. Each month two members give a 60 second advertorial as well as provide (and draw) a $20-$30 prize for the business card draw.  This is a great way to showcase your products or services and make yourself known throughout the network.

Website update

hbwn.org.au is now functioning well however we will continue to upgrade and extend it's services for our members.  We now have updated membership categories and all members are listed in alphabetical order at the bottom of the member directory page. All members need to check their profiles and amend if required. Networking Tip # 4

Sit with a stranger at networking functions.  Instead of sitting with your usual group of friends, be bold enough to find someone you DON’T know and get to know them better.  You’ll be amazed at what can develop.
